Degree Requirements

The MBA program has been designed to enroll students of various backgrounds. The standard credit hours requirement for MBA degree is 60. However, students having different educational background and job experience will require to complete different numbers of credit hours ranging between 48 and 60.

There are three groups in the AUB's MBA as follows:

Group A: MBA for Executives:

This group is meant for those who are already in service at the higher level/position in the reputed organization.

  • Candidates may be allowed further course exeption upto maximum 6 credit hours depending upon relevant academic background.

Group B: MBA for BBA holders:

This group is meant for those who have completed 4 years BBA degree with atleast 132 credit hours.

  • Candidates are required to complete 48 credit hours for MBA degree of which 6 credit hours comprise internship and defense. The remaining 42 credit hours relate to course work, out of which waiver may be allowed upto 12 credit hours for core course(s).

Group C: MBA Regular (Day/Evening):

This group is meant for those who are already in service at the higher level/position in the reputed organization.

  • Candidates may be allowed further course exeption upto maximum 6 credit hours depending upon relevant academic background.
  • In addition to credit courses, candidates will have to take 4 non-credit courses in English and Computer. However, candidates who have completed Honors/Masters in English or O/A level will be exempted from teh non-credit English courses. Similarly those having graduation/diploma in Computer Science from a recognized institution will be exempted from the course titled "Fundamentals of Computer".

Note:

  • To apply for exemption of a course, a candidate must have obtained a minimum grade of 'B' in the similar course(s) from a recognized institution. Exemption is applicable to core course(s) only.
  • Exemption of course(s) is subject to the approval of the Equivalence Committee.
